1956 Jaguar 'shortnose' D-Type MWS 303

Another car prepared for Goodwood Revival was this Ecurie Ecosse Jaguar ‘shortnose’ D-type. 

This was the third and final shortnose D-Type purchased by David Murray to be raced by his Ecurie Ecosse race team. The car was used quite sparingly during the 1956 season, being raced in only twelve meetings at Snetterton, Goodwood, Oulton Park, Aintree, Charterhall, Silverstone, Spa, and Rouen-les-Essarts. Driven by Ron Flockhart, Desmond Titterington, Jock Lawrence and Peter Hughes, the car achieved two wins and five second place finishes.
